I love flowers, cacti, and plant-life of any kind. But I have learned, through sad experience, that I don’t have much of a green thumb. Especially since I often try to bite off more than I can chew. So this is my new plan, to follow the suggestions in Tiny Tabletop Gardens. This easy-to-follow book shows how to create small potted plant arrangements, often in reclaimed containers. The literally “down to earth” details are very practical, easily done, and seem much more based in real-life experience than theories.

Too often books will say something about ph balancing the soil, and I’m left with little idea what that is, or how to remedy it. Here, it’s more like “fertilize your strawberries with tomato fertilizer.” Now, that I can follow. I have a desktop planting now and two more planned, one for the back patio, and another for our entryway. The plants on my desk are doing well and add so much to my day. Very pleased with this helpful book!
