I found this book to be an incredibly charming coloring book and amazing visual journey, The Time Garden would make a wonderful gift, for any child or adult coloring fan. There is a brief text story at the start and end, while the gorgeously detailed illustrations lead us through a dreamlike journey.

The story is about a young girl who, late one night, decides to investigate her family’s new cuckoo clock. She somehow climbs inside and pulls a lever which reveals the clockworks underlying reality… and more. It’s a beautiful story, which works well as a stand-alone children’s book, and as an adult-level coloring book, too. It’s a simply lovely children’s book and one of the finest and most sophisticated coloring books that I’ve seen.
