I read The Gnome Project in one afternoon, I found it to be compelling and very interesting to get a glimpse into the author’s life with its joys and sorrows, hardships and hope. I admired her ability to create something wonderful every day and receive solace in the process.

The Gnome Project is filled with photos of all the cute gnomes throughout, with lots of variations. My favorite ones that she created were the tiny babies, sometimes she even placed them in a lace wrapped walnut shell for a little bed. I appreciated the idea of consistency as comfort and I am looking forward to starting similar rituals in my own life, possibly baking bread each day for my family. Also, there are detailed instructions for making your own felted gnome in the back, which I can’t wait to try!
