Craft-In: 12 Project Booklets for Your Own Crafty Gatherings edited by Kathleen McCafferty and published by Lark Crafts has twelve booklets included in it and come packaged in a slide out box for easy storage. The purpose of Craft-In is to enable you to have an easy craft night with all your friends. The booklets are well designed and brimming with colorful photos that show the instructions, as well as supplies, variations and templates. They feature a strong variety of crafts, each focusing on a single one that you and your friends could accomplish in one night (no unfinished projects to bring home!).

Artist Julie Armbruster recycles jar lids by turning them into little art masterpieces that you can hang anywhere. Jeanette Lim, shows how to make adorable little felt strawberries. A basket full of these simple delights would be such a cute decoration in the kitchen. There are booklets that explain how to make charming terrariums, crocheted cacti and one that demonstrates tricks to make cupcakes look professional. Other creative projects include fun things to do with mint tins, hula hoops and mate-less socks. There are also pocketbook logs filled with faves, retro paper dolls, pet embroidery and angel wing jewelry.

I loved this idea in Craft-In of hanging out with friends, snacking and catching up with them while making a craft that everyone gets to take home.

Craft-In comes with an invitation included that you can copy or you can use the downloadable template here to personalize for your own party.
