Do you have any t-shirts in your closet you don’t wear very often? Who doesn’t?! How about some ideas of what to do with them? 101 Tees: Restyle + Refashion + Revamp will give you tons of suggestions! It is written by Cathie Filian, who is from the Creative Juice show on DIY Network and HGTV. Before Creative Juice, Cathie worked in the film business creating costumes for such films as Rushmore, Twister, Heartbreakers and Vanilla Sky. She also contributes to Life Magazine, Real Simple, Redbook, Quick and Simple and more. Cathie also has an active blog and website.

There is a myriad of possibilities in 101 Tees for every style and also answers to just about any question you could have about t-shirts in little Q & A boxes throughout. I loved how each of the 101 Tees has been given a name, which adds to the fun of looking at all of the creative styles. Plus, many of them have a variation (also named!), which actually brings the total number of tee ideas well over 101!

101 Tees gives you all the details to use sequins and beads to make sparkly butterflies and peacocks for your tees or iron on patches, ribbons and trims to embellish them. The boys in your life aren’t forgotten with a chapter of suggestions just for them, like rock, robots, sports and other manly pursuits. Dyeing or painting on your shirts really gives them a brand new life, and 101 Tees has complete directions for both of those methods. Adding extras like appliques, doilies or embroidery changes a plain tee into something special. 101 Tees was a big hit with my daughters who each went through the book, excitedly choosing all their favorite designs!
