My husband picked up this book, flipping through it from back to front. That’s when I told him to read the title. “These cats aren’t real?!” So, yes, when they say this explains how to make “cute and lifelike cats from wool,” wow, they are really and truly not kidding.

The instructions here are clear and straightforward, yet the process is fairly involved, at least for a beginner like me. But the basic approach of using wool like any other sculpting material is very clear, and with my own cats as 3-D guides, I’m well on my way to making my own so-lifelike-it’s-surreal felted kitten. The photos really are gorgeous, and if I can get half as good as Hinali, I’ll be proclaimed a master artist (at least around here). Really recommended!
