This is a wonderful introductory guide to would-be experts in watercolor painting. It includes 150 single-page, four-step lessons. Most are single objects, individual items that might be arranged in still-life paintings. I love the style of painting shown, which is exactly what I’d wanted to learn to do myself.

I love how the steps are shown along with a palette of the colors actually used. With the steps broken out, along with an actually painted palette, it really helped me to see how the shading worked, using different shades on top of others. That, and many other tips, make this truly valuable book a real breakthrough help for me!
