I am really enjoying this book! I am definitely a beginner watercolorist, and this book is great for me, but I’m sure it would be nice for anyone at any skill level. It has a lot of helps, including necessary supplies, basic watercolor instruction and color mixing tips. I have learned so much from it and I also love the beautiful watercolor foods. They are current and fun, like avocado toast and Bahn Mi sandwiches.

There’s also simple ideas, like an orange slice and macarons. The step-by-step directions show each color being added and make it really easy to follow along. I’m learning to lay the paint down for the basic look and then add the shading and highlights with darker and lighter colors. My paintings don’t look as delicious as the ones in the book, but I’m really happy with them! Love this book!
