Bill Nye remains a family favorite in our house, and we were all delighted to discover a new kids book series which includes him as an advisor in fun, science-y adventures. The writing is engaging, humorous, and enlightening, too. The characters are very intelligent orphans, sort of emancipated minors, and together they are led on a science expedition to Antarctica. Mystery and fun ensue. My son enjoys their banter, and recites the things he’s learned about life at the South Pole, and is eager to start his own experiment like the one described in the book. Great book, and we can’t wait for more!
