This is an enjoyable and patriotic coloring book. I especially like the quotes on each page, which pairs with explanatory background text for each quote, repeating it within its original, expanded context. Various American symbols, like the Great Seal of the United States — paired with “The only thing we have to fear is fear itself” — are fun to color.

The illustrations, collected from various artists, have a lot of interesting variations.I am grateful for the sacrifices of those who helped secure our freedoms, and this book is an enjoyable, and surprisingly serious, celebration of our American freedom.
