These guides are handy and well thought-out handbooks for girls and guys, especially those entering puberty. They cover physical changes, just-the-basics sex info, hygiene, and a lot of helpful info about family dynamics, mental changes, moods, changes boys and girls face, and so forth.
I appreciated the chapters on bullying, depression, body image, and dealing with social demands and frustrations. The book has an engaging and upbeat tone, with subtle humor, and is fairly concise throughout.
The illustrations are fun and friendly, and I like how each topic is segmented out, with lots of different sections on each two-page spread. Especially when read through, it’s a pretty complete guide, suitable for really any kids with some questions they might need good answers to.
