Ada Lovelace was a genuine genius, and in an important sense, she invented computer programming. However, she also faced a long illness which kept her more or less bed-ridden, so she used that time to study and learn, which eventually led to her discoveries. My daughter was so surprised to read this book, which is admittedly a little old for her. But she loves it all the same! The prose is lovely, the story engaging, and the paper-cut-out style illustrations are wondrous. We’re all so happy with this book!
