The Big Book of Color is a beautifully-bound and cleverly illustrated journey beyond the basics of color theory. I loved the fun examples, which take young children well past “red with yellow makes orange,” and so forth. I was impressed to find the book is quite large — and over 120 pages — with vivid colors and examples filling each page to the margins.
There are workbook-style activities included, although the high quality printing elevates the book so much, you may feel reticent to actually color on these beautiful, thick pages. Once I opened it, I had to read every page. After many years of designing at the professional level, I can strongly recommend The Big Book of Color as an excellent introduction into the wonderful world of colors.
